Respect & Behaviour

Please ensure these points are adhered to. These are requests from venues we hire, please respect their wishes.

FA and Surrey FA Respect

Becoming a member of WTFC means that you have accepted our Codes of Conduct and will show RESPECT at all games of football not just those within WTFC but to all individuals you come in contact with during the season, including match officials.

Respect Barriers: it is a requirement that a barrier be installed 5yds from the touchline, which can be as simple as a line of cones. All players and parents must stay behind this line. The only people/persons allowed in this channel during match time are match officials and team managers. Please do not stand behind the goals during match play.

Behaviour and Ethos

All Parents, Coaches and Players are required to abide by the Club ethos. It is important that we remember it’s a game and ensure all members of the Club handle themselves with dignity, humility and professionalism. We as a Club have a zero tolerance to those who do not follow the FA and Surrey FA RESPECT rules.

Please also appreciate good football from the opposition and let’s try to be the club that maintains a healthy and happy environment during our matches.

Let’s encourage and believe in the following behaviour from our players, parents and coaches.
  • Play to the best of their ability
  • Are competitive, win with dignity and lose with grace
  • Are disciplined, observing the laws and the spirit of the game
  • Respect opponents, referees, and coaches and reject cheating, racism or violence
  • Learn that winning is about the success of their efforts, engagement and development and not at all costs
  • Enjoy the game, take risks to improve and never fear failure as an individual
  • Teach the children the virtues of life through sport building their confidence and make them succeed

Safeguarding

The safety and welfare of our players is our highest priority and we expect all adults to be aware of our Safeguarding Policy and raise any concerns to our Child Welfare Officer.
